Fairview 2023 Track and Field Needs
~ Please Help Us to make our Goal ~
As our team continues to grow and excel in all events and areas of track and field, it’s time to upgrade our facilities with a netting system that will keep our athletes safe. We are seeking funds to install a netting system to be placed on the east end of the track that would separate the pole-vaulting area from the turf field. This would keep both soccer and lacrosse balls from entering this area in practices. Our high jumpers would also be moved to that side when appropriate.

This would allow for extended practices for most of our track-bound athletes. By this I mean the athletes that are dependent on the track for their practice, which would include field event athletes and sprinters. We could use the corner for block start practice, corner work with hurdles, relay exchanges, pole vault and high jump. During the season there are times where we are not allowed on the track due to another sports game. This netting would allow us to still prepare for the technical aspects of our events without interruption.

Let’s keep our athletes safe for years to come with a netting system! The cost of the netting system with delivery and installation is around $25,000. The booster club will help with the cost, but we will also need basic seasonal items like relay batons, pole vaulting poles, improvements to the throwing areas, and items needed to host our two meets this year.
